The Bottom Line: Get this if you're wanting a cheap, easy, and pretty good toning and conditioning workout option.

This model is very similiar to the 890; it may have been upgraded or maybe is just the number for the Wal-Mart model. I purchased this today to replace a stationary bike I've had more than ten years and finally broke the peddle axle -a Tunturi that I really relied on and enjoyed for more than 2000 miles. I purchased this bike after reading the reviews knowing that it did not have glowing remarks. The price was right at 89.00 and it had the dual action action handle bars I want. I figured I could return it if I found it to be that bad.
Got it home and the assemble was pretty easy; the body was together and I had to attach the handle bars and peddles.
Took it for a spin. The monitor came with 2 batteries which I thought was great. It seems to work fine but it doesn't have an accumulated mileage record like my old odometer and I'll miss that.
The knob for tension adjustment is kinda cheap sounding - it does click and I'm still afraid of breaking it - not sure yet it will give good ranges.
The peddles feel weird - sort of eliptical or not quite centered. The handle bars are ok, not adjustable like my old one and they are lower.
The noise from the wheel is bad. It sounds like a lot of bees or something. It will be ok for me, but living above my tenants means I'll have to find the best place to put it or find a noise deadening mat to put under it.
The time I spent on it today did show a good workout, and that part of my butt right over my thighs felt it. The moving bars are great for range of motion and working kinks out. I'm fairly satisfied except for the wheel noise.
I think I will use this bike often and maybe upgrade to a better (quieter) model when finances are better.
